Smith's operate with several vessels all ranging in capacity and size. Their Tortola Fast Ferry runs a daily service between Tortola and St. Thomas. Seasonally they include extra services from Tortola to Anegada and Virgin Gorda.

Frequent trips are provided between Tortola and St. Thomas with departures from Road Town Tortola to Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas. The first daily departure between the islands starts at 7.30 AM from Road Town, Tortola which will take you to Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas in 1 hour. The first boat leaving from Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas back to Road Town on Tortola leaves at 9:00 AM and arrives in Road Town, Tortola at 9.50 AM.
Depending on your day and season of travel, times may differ. Please note that a trip between Road Town, Tortola and Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas will sometimes make a short stop for passengers in West End Tortola.

Terms and policies
All prices offered are subject to change and Smith's Ferry reserves the right to refuse admission of any person who has violated their rules & regulations.
Check-in
- Customers are expected to check-in at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
- Customers are expected to have obtained all required documents for the trip, such as Governmental Travel Requirements and/or exit and entry documents.
Cancellation & amendment policy
- All refunds are subject to a 20% service charge, even in cases of inclement weather.
- All amendments are subject to a $10 service charge to be paid directly to Smith's Ferry.
Luggage allowance
- You are allowed one piece of carrying on luggage weighing less than 50 lbs for free. Any excess luggage will be charged $0.50 USD per pound.
- Luggage that exceeds 75 lbs will not be accepted on the trip.
- Large items (e.g. diving equipment) will be chared as large items and the costs will be based on size/weight ranging between $25 - $60 USD.
- Cargo (e.g. boxes, coolers) start from $15 USD a piece.
