Soggy Dollar Bar

The Soggy Dollar Bar is exactly what you’d hope a Caribbean beach bar would be like. This laid-back bar in the British Virgin Islands is situated on the ever-beautiful White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. With soft white sand, stunning turquoise waters and spectacular scenery, it's not hard to understand why White Bay on Jost Van Dyke has been voted the best beach in the Caribbean numerous times.

The Soggy Dollar bar has become somewhat of an icon within the virgin islands and the main attraction on Jost van Dyke, since creating their famous rum cocktail the “Painkiller” in 1970’s. This scrumptious concoction is a tasty blend of premium dark rum, cream of coconut, pineapple and orange juice, topped with freshly grated Grenadian nutmeg. Yes, it is as good as it sounds!

Surrounded by swaying palms, deck chairs, chilled beats and cold beverages, Soggy Dollar bar is a great place to relax and spend the day at the beach. Now serving up delicious lunches and appetizers for dinner, it really is the perfect setting to spend the day with friends or family. Jost Van Dyke was hit hardest out of the BVI by the two categories 5 hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, but true to the local BVI strong spirit, Soggy Dollar has since rebuilt and revived!
