St Thomas & St John to BVI
Inter Island Boat Services operates several routes between the British and US Virgin Islands. Leaving from Red Hook, St Thomas they offer up to 5 daily departures to Tortola (West End). They also operate a regular service to Jost van Dyke, 6 days a week, and to Virgin Gorda on Thursdays and Sundays. And for anyone wanting to visit Anegada, Inter Island Boat Services offers a day-trip every first Sunday of the month (subject to demand).
Almost all trips from Red Hook make a short stop-over in Cruz Bay, St. John to pick up passengers before continuing to their destination. Journey time between Red Hook and St John is 15-20 minutes. When travelling to the US Virgin Islands from BVI you will first have to clear US immigration and customs in St John;, as no US immigration facilities are currently available at Red Hook. Passengers will be asked to disembark, taking their luggage with them. Once immigration and customs has been cleared, passengers will be asked to re-board the same vessel for the short journey over to Red Hook. Average turnaround time at St John is XX minutes.

Passengers must arrive at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Simply take your StMartinbookings e-ticket to the Inter Island Ferry Service counter to check you and your luggage in. Please ensure you leave enough time to pay any applicable departure taxes.
